Step 1
Open with a stable first hero
Knight is the safest default opener because the class is easy to stabilize while your account has weak gear and limited rune depth. Ranger can still work if you prefer faster early clears.
Beginner route
This page is the fastest route through the first hours of Task Bar Hero: what to unlock first, where the Rune Tree starts mattering, when the Cube becomes useful, and why the third hero slot is such a big early breakpoint.
Step 1
Knight is the safest default opener because the class is easy to stabilize while your account has weak gear and limited rune depth. Ranger can still work if you prefer faster early clears.
Step 2
The Rune Tree is the first real account-power system. Start spending points immediately because hero slots, automation, inventory quality-of-life, and offline rewards all branch out from it.
Step 3
Treat the Cube as an economy tool first, not just a crafting toy. Early on, converting weak equipment into gold is usually more valuable than forcing gear upgrades too soon.
Step 4
The account really starts to accelerate once you run a full three-hero party. Extra classes do not automatically mean extra party slots, so the Rune Tree path matters more than roster ownership.
Cube searches usually come from players who just unlocked the system and want to know whether to craft, convert, or wait. The safe early answer is to treat Cube as an economy checkpoint first, then use item records and hero roles before making heavier gear choices.
